A LITTLE BIT ABOUT MYSELF:
I’ve been passionately obsessed with cameras for as long as I can remember. One of my earliest memories is taking photo after photo of a glass of juice as I moved it around a table, so that I could then quickly flick through the playback menu and create a moving image. Growing up in Sao Paulo, Brazil, I was eager to capture the crazy world around me, but I was particularly fascinated by nature, and how we as humans interact with the natural world. Moving to the States in my early teens, my childhood love for surfing and climbing trees quickly morphed into skiing and rock climbing, but my passion for capturing the world around me remained constant. Although knowledgeable in audio/visual post production, color, and graphic design, I will always feel most comfortable behind a lens.
My work aims to toe the line between documentary, art, and activism. Attempting to honestly capture the events and environments that surround me, while simultaneously creating something both interesting and compelling. I aim to create pieces that don’t just entertain, but demonstrate how vital a connection to a healthy environment is to the wellbeing of our species. I believe that sharing the beauty of our world and inspiring others to get outside is essential to fostering a culture of stewardship in our society. I understand that with a love for nature and the enjoyment of time spent outside, comes a need to protect these places that bring us so much joy. Ultimately, I hope to spread awareness of the value of our landscapes, how we as a species are impacting our world, and our responsibility to be stewards of our lands.
I currently live in Boulder, Colorado, where I’m soon graduating from the University of Colorado. When I’m not in school or working, I can be found scrambling around the flatirons or touring in RMNP.
See you out there!
